MUSE-Tech Workshop Sept 26
A MUSE-Tech workshop and training seminar will take place at IRTA Monells on September 26th. The workshop and training seminar will provide the participants with the state of the art on Quasi Imaging UV-Vis, Photo- acoustics and Distributed Temperature and how these sensing technologies are used in food industry to improve quality assurance. Controlling your quality assurance will help you addressing one of the main challenges of food industry: reducing manufacturing costs and food waste. The latest sensing technologies will be presented, which will help you to achieve a more efficient control of the processes in your company.
Furthermore, two related EU research projects will present their work. The SAFETYPACK on oxygen laser sensors for real-time quality and safety determination of food MAP packaging and SPECTRAFISH on the use of hyperspectral imaging technologies to control fish quality.
In the afternoon, a demonstration will be given on the use and capabilities of the Multi Sensor Device (MSD) to monitor frying process at pilot plant scale.
