University of Strathclyde, UK
University of Strathclyde (USTR) has a strong focus on research involving industry-academic collaborations and several initiatives toward significantly growing such collaborations have been taken. USTR is leading the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) research centre in Innovative Manufacturing in Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation, USTR is also setting up a Technology Innovation Centre (TIC), for transforming the way universities, business and industry collaborate to bring global competitive advantage to the region.
USTR will develop the PAT tools for multivariate data analysis and calibration model development for the 3 processes (WP7). The data analysis tools used will consist of both current state-of-the-art tools available commercially as well as those developed in house which will be fine-tuned for application to the three chosen processes. In addition the USTR team will develop novel data fusion based calibration approaches, which will be validated through pilot and plant scale data.
